We built a fairy house

Woops - missed a few

We went to a mediterranean restaurant - where we were too busy devouring their appetizers to take pictures and a vegan place where we were too busy avoiding the food to take pictures (though the watermelon shooter and the lavender lemonade were outstanding) - but we did remember to pull out the camera at Honey's Kettle, where I learned I like fried chicken. Daddy was so proud.

Next up: Empanadas!

The Culver Hotel is where the munchkins stayed during the filming of "The Wizard of Oz"

There's even a little tribute to the film right outside of the hotel!

It is my well-documented that I have a sophisticated palate, so I went on a Foody Field Trip through Downtown Culver City!

Our first stop was the Culver Hotel, where we sampled their high-end bruschetta with goat cheese (YUM) and truffle mac and cheese (in the littiel cup pictured in the lower photo). Both were excellent. I started off sharing with mommy, but soon claimed my own!

I stole mommy's pluot when she wasn't looking!

General nighttime silliness

Mommy and daddy bought me this great bed. Aunt Pook-Pook bought me a ridiculously comfortable mattress (it was my baby shower gift). Mommy took great care in selecting comfortable linens for my bed. And after all of that, where do I end up? On the ground.

So mommy "built" a pillow fort to contain me when I fall out of bed in the middle of the night and start sleeping on the ground. She used a ridiculous number of pillows. She even went and bought extra pillows to support the sides and create something of a baby prison. And she added my big Tinkerbell pillow at the top to further create a barrier. I crawl out of it. In my sleep. On a nightly basis.

I also try to roll all the way into the closet. What can I say - I must have needed one of my beautiful dresses!

Who, me? A girly girl? Nooooo.

What gave it away?

I'm a garden fairy

Because I take so many things apart, mommy and daddy thought I might be a tinker fairy. But I'm not -- I'm a garden fairy. Back to watering the plants!

We paid the balance on our holiday cruise today

I'm looking forward to going to these places.

Baba said, "Caroline, show me MAD!"

Yep, I'm such a happy kid that this is me MAD.

A lesson in essentials

But she seemed to be more amused by what *I* was doing! Oh well, at least she got both of us in the picture. And at least she let me keep my shoes on. That's right, MY shoes. MINE.

A new family moved in with us

Their names are: Baby Squirrely, Other Baby Squirrely, Daddy Squirrely and Mommy Squirrely.

This is Jenny Bec's, a pricey toy store in Brentwood. There are so many beautiful things here. Mommy can never escape without spending a couple of bills. But just look at the stuff! How could you resist?! I know I can't.

So many horsies, so little time...

But I like to give them all a little bit of attention when I can...

Yogurt face!

One morning, I was squirming around so much during breakfast that I got yogurt on my forehead and on my arm! I was so intrigued that I just HAD to go look in the mirror at what a yogurt face looks like! Pretty silly, it turns out.

I make jewelry, too

I like to embrace my artistic side. So I tried my hand at jewelry making. Here I am stringing some Froot Loops onto twine:

Farmers Market spoils!

We went to the Farmers Market this weekend and got some delicious apricots! They are so sweet and so juicy. I take an apricot half, shove it in my mouth and declare myself "Apricot Face"!

Captive!

I locked herself in the bathroom -- Baba had to take the entire handle off to unlock it. In the meantime, I placed an order for avocado with mommy, which she slid under the door on a little plate for me. After I finished the first batch, I slid the plate out with a request for more. Mommy loved that I was so mellow about it!

Squirt gun fun!

Mommy gave me a squirt gun. Now I want to squirt *everything*. I even squirt mommy when she's getting ready in the morning. And daddy when he falls asleep in front of the TV. Nobody is safe!

It's football season?!
