Yeah, I can operate an iPhone

I can even offer you a tutorial if you need one. My favorite thing to do, though, is to scroll through pictures. Especially when said pictures involve kitty cats.

Yep, I'll call you out on that

Daddy was doing something silly and mommy called him an amateur. And I repeated it. Again and again. Everything daddy did, I asked him if he was an amateur. It was very funny. He laughed. A lot. And who could blame him?! I'm little Miss Personality!

I have turned into a CREATURE.

Mommy has always been so proud of how polite and proper I am. I always say please and thank you and dutifully do what I should. Then I got the flu last week and apparently turned into someone else. I didn't want to eat all weekend and I insisted on spitting out all of the food I was given, regardless of whether I asked for it and regardless of how much I otherwise like it. And it was clear to mommy and daddy that I knew exactly what I was doing, because I would smile right at them when I did it. I didn't want to drink anything other than water. That effectively meant I didn't want to consume any calories at all. Of course, this also means I lost weight - about 2 lbs. - and I have skinny little chicken leggies now. And that's not all. I started hitting (what?!) and kicking (whaaaat?!) and pitching fits. And this all happened overnight, with no warning. That left mommy and daddy wondering what on earth happened to their sweet little Caroline! Some have said I'm hitting the horrible threes. Mommy and daddy are hoping it is just a weekend thing and that I will revert back to my normal self.

Update: it was just a weekend thing. I'm back to myself now. Phew!

TINKERBELL SOCKS!!

Daddy saw these socks and knew that I would love them. He couldn't have been more right! I'm just kookoo for Tinkerbell!

Amma always brings me things

She always puts my presents in her red bag. Now I know to go straight for the bag when she gets here. Oh, the goodies!

Monkeys fling poop?!

This was news to me.

Mommy and I were talking about my monkeys when my one of my monkeys needed to poop. Mommy agreed to take monkey to the bathroom. Then she asked if monkey was going to fling his poop. This perplexed me. I asked why on earth my monkey would fling his poop. She explained that monkeys do this. I demanded proof. She went to YouTube for demonstrative evidence:

Daddy was gone last week for work -- AGAIN

The only nice thing about him being gone is that mommy lets me sleep in bed with her if I tell her I want to. Then she gets to wake up to something like this.

Another funny Caroline story

I do and say funny things all the time.

Last night, I grabbed a big block of Tillamook cheese (it comes in a 2-lb. loaf) and walked over to the cabinet where mommy keeps the wine and champagne. I opened the cabinet and shoved the Tillamook in, snuggled inbetween two bottles of bubbly, and walked away. Mommy and daddy were impressed that I already understood that wine and cheese pair well. Mommy suggested I try it with brie next time. I take my brie straight up, with a spoon - hold the rind.

You don't have to have pierced ears to have earrings!

My friend down the hall, Kristen, is 3 and in preschool. At her preschool, stick-on earrings are all the rage. She shared a pair with me one day and I was so excited. Mommy found some gemstone sticker earrings, and now I select a new color and shape every day. I look forward to putting on my earrings every morning - and today, I chose green hearts! They don't necessarily have to match my outfit - the colors and shapes just have to strike my fancy.

It's a baby in a box!

Mommy took pictures of me in this very box when I was 4 months old (my first Christmas) and again when I was 16 months old (my second Christmas). So it was only fitting that she also take pictures of me in a box again this year! After all, she's kept the box this long for this very reason. But now I'm much more animated -- I can stand, and I love to play "baby in a box" by sitting in the box, putting the top on my head, then standing up to immitate the way a Jack in the Box pops out!

(And yes - our tree is down now. It just took mommy a little while to post this picture.)

Yep, I'm a girl

I like shoes. I love red shoes. I insisted on wearing my red shoes even though they were clearly too small. I wouldn't let mommy throw them away. So mommy ordered more red shoes for me. When she came home with an Amazon.com box with FOUR pairs of red shoes, I was delighted. I clapped! Then I dutifully tried them all on, one by one. And I refused to take them off. Mommy was barely able to take them off of me when it was bedtime! I put them right back on the next day - and I wore them all day.

I really, really like shoes.

Sometimes, when daddy is using his laptop, I walk up to him and plop myself in his lap

He doesn't mind. I think he rather likes the interruption!

Foot bath time!

I love foot baths. I have mommy fill a pink tub with water and her special L'Occitane lavendar body wash (I have excellent taste) and I splash around in the water to my heart's content! And now, since I've seen mommy and Amma wash my feet so many times in the foot bath, I also lift up my foot and wash inbetween my toes. I know the routine!

After the jungle gym, I went to the wall to make some music on two different "wall drum" sets

I didn't care for it. It was just noise. I looked at mommy, covered my ears and said "Loud. Caroline go now." And we left.

The Century City Mall has a new kids' jungle gym!

It proved a little advanced for me, but it was fun for a few minutes. Good effort.

And this was just with Grandma, Grandpa Beard and my cousins, Mackenzie and Michael! Imagine what it would be like if the entire family tried to get in a single shot.

Daddy's new workout involves Caroline-ups

Apparently we're both Trojan fans! He made the USC Victory sign with me and we sang the Fight Song! I knew I liked that mouse for a reason.

Okay, Miss Piggy, it's dinner time!

First, I put Miss Piggy in her chair and fasten her seat belt.



Next, I choose an episode of the Muppet Show for the night!

Then I remove the old DVD and insert a new one.

Finally, I use the remote control to change the TV setting to play the DVD!

These noise cancelling headphones are terrific!

Now how do I turn UP the volume of the Muppets while turning the volume of your voice DOWN?

Watch out, sopranos. There's a new girl in town!

And I can hit the high notes just as well (or better) than you! I credit mommy's love of opera for my singing prowess.

There's only so much amusement a girl can take!

Finally!

Daddy finally got his Prius back from the body shop. I can't believe how long it was there! But at least it's back in our hands again - and it looks as good as new.
