Happy halloween! I hope yours is just ducky!

Mommy told me that, on this day, kids dress up in cute little outfits so their parents can take funny pictures to use against them when they're in high school and want to go to prom with someone their parents aren't too fond of. I don't know what that means, but I tolerated this dressing up thing. Halloween is interesting, but I'm not sure it's everything it's quacked up to be. Ha! (Just like my mommy, I can't resist a terrible pun.)

Mommy's boob makes a comfortable arm rest

Mommy was trying to take artistic pictures

But it just looks sloppy to me. She cut off part of my face in this shot! Mommy, you should leave the artistic work to professionals. Just take pictures of me for your own purposes, amateur.

Then I danced for daddy

He said I'm really talented.

I helped daddy with his work today!

I had an appointment with my cardiologist today (everything is going really well, by the way, and my heart functions really well). Since his office is close to daddy's work, mommy and I picked him up for lunch and then we went back to his office so I could help him with his work. I could tell he appreciated my suggestions. At first he looked a little surrpised that I understood the underlying concepts, but his code works better now, thanks to me.

What would daddy do without me?

This is the face I give mommy when she puts me down

It melts her heart and she picks me right back up. It never fails. I'm so sneaky!

Yes, I certainly do.

NOW STOP SPILLING MY DINNER!!

Practicing my "surprised" look for when they announce the winner...

Of the beauty pageant my mommy tells me I will surely win one day. Convincing?

The onesie says it all!

Now where is it?! I'm hungry!

I told you this was worth re-checking my blog today. My godfather has a terrific sense of humor.

Daddy laughed and laughed when he saw this

Mommy and I took a nap together today. Daddy came in to wake us and just laughed and laughed that we were sleeping in the same position. (Note: this is real - it is not staged!)

My godfather came to visit!

I was beginning to think my grandparents and Aunt Pook-Pook assigned security to keep everyone else away, but then my godfather, Scott, came to visit me. He's fun -- I like him. Check back tomorrow to see what fun little thing he brought for me. It's worth the return visit to my blog!

Look at me! I'm growing before your very eyes!

At my appointment with Dr. Nagel today, he managed to fit in some time inbetween jabbing me with needles to weigh and measure me. I'm not sure how he managed that, what with all the limbs he wanted to stick. Humpht.

I am up three pounds from my birth weight, and I have grown almost three inches! I'm now 10 lbs., 12 ounces and am almost 23 inches long! Watch out world, here I come!

Do you know what that Dr. Nagel (my pediatrician) did to me today?!

Shots! Painful ones! Three of them! On my left arm and BOTH of my legs! He only spared one of my little limbs. But I showed HIM -- I pooped AND peed on his exam table. Baby revenge! That'll teach him.

I was so mad, in fact, that I also threw up the oral rotovirus preventative they gave me. Mommy explained that I should have kept that one down, since it will help prevent me getting a nasty illness that is going around that makes babies throw up and gives them loose stools. I'll make a note to keep it down next time. I get another dose at 4 months. That's OLD. It's twice as old as I am now!

I went to Cedars for a visit today!

I went back to Cedars for my second outpatient checkup with Dr. Fontana, Cardiothoracic surgeon extraordinaire, today to check on my progress and to check the little wound from my surgery. But I'm only going for an hour -- these people don't get to keep me there this time! They can't dupe me again. I'm older and wiser now!

Presents for mommy!

I like to make lots of presents each day for my mommy, and I know she loves receiving them. She smiles and gives me kissies every time I make her one. Then she tells me how much she loves me. She wraps all of her presents up and puts them in a safe place called the "Diaper Genie."

Blowouts are a snoozefest

The Trojans defeated the Washington State Cougars 69-0. Yawn. It happened on Saturday, but I didn't bother writing about it until today it was so boring.

I'm two months old! Happy birthday to me!

I've already grown two inches and have gained more than two pounds! Wow! I'm going to be mommy's height in no time!

Looking at the lake makes me hungry

Good thing daddy was there, prepared with a snack for me! I appreciated it so much that I shared some with daddy's shorts. I'm a giver.

New surroundings!

I recognize the big guy giving me kissies, but this isn't my house! What the heck?!

My first trip out of LA!

Here I am in Lake Arrowhead Village. Mommy and daddy brought me here for Barbie and Michael's wedding. We're staying at the Lake Arrowhead Resort, where the rooms and beds are curiously similar to mommy and daddy's room at home, and yet we're all the way up in the mountains, on a lake.

I can't wait to go explore!

I'm definitely daddy's little ghoul

That's me! Isn't daddy lucky?!

I am a hungry little pumpkin!

I do funny things when I'm hungry. I'll lick my lips, stick my tongue out, even chew on an imaginary steak. But when I grabbed daddy's thumb and started gumming it, mommy knew I was a really hungry little pumpkin and fed me.

I'm not so sure about these people...

They dress me up, laugh, give me kissies and take funny pictures of me. I don't know what this is all about, but I like the part involving me getting kissies so I put up with it. This is me in an outfit that identifies me as mommy's little pumpkin.

Same thing, next day

It's hard being me.

Bouncer schmouncer - it's time for a nap!

I usually play in this and use my knees to set off the music and lights, but I'm tired right now.

Mommy was so slow in getting my birth announcements out!

You'd think she had to take care of a newborn or something. Or that taking care of a newborn is time-consuming or something. But if she would have just stopped staring at me for one darned minute, she could have gotten to this earlier!

New interest: whack the monkey

When I was younger (two weeks ago), I used to beat up the toucan. Those days are long gone. Now I've graduated to hitting the monkey. My parents were so surprised and excited when I whacked that silly monkey clear off its perch! It ended up landing on my tummy.

Sleeping in mommy and daddy's bed

I like to sleep all day and party all night. I keep mommy company at night between midnight and anywhere between 4:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. Hey, if I didn't, who would?! During that time, we spend quality time together. She gets to feed me, burp me, change my diaper and play with me. If she doesn't play with me, I get mad. If she doesn't hold me, I get mad. If she doesn't promptly feed me -- you guessed it -- I get mad.

So in the mornings, after daddy goes to work, I get in my special little bed and take a nap with mommy in the big bed. It's comfy. I like it because I get a change of scenery, and mommy likes it because she gets to be really close to me.

Thursday, October 9, 2008

I like to stick my leg out from under my blankets

It's fun to watch mommy and daddy try to keep me covered. I always outsmart them, though, by pulling a Houdini!

Science is awesome

At least that's what daddy keeps telling me. That nerd even bought me a onesie in Hawaii that tells me science is awesome. Some people get hula shirts, I get a science onesie.

These dorks had better not send me to math camp!!

The three rules of real estate: location, location, location

And the best location is the crook of daddy's neck. It's the equivalent of the Malibu beachfront.

Hands!

Or rather, hand.

Hanging with my Sesame Street peeps on my Elmo couch

My godfather bought me the entire Gund line of Sesame Street characters. I count ONE Sesame Street character, TWO Sesame Street characters, THREE Sesame Street characters...

Went for a walk today

The funny thing is, I didn't walk. I have people to do that for me. It's nice to have people.

Daddy is comfy, part two

Aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh.
